Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow

Wanted to use confetti to make gold coins. So I painted them with gold food paint then put them in the pot and sprinkled gold sugar around them. Happy St. Patrick's day 

Bee My Honey

I wanted to make some Valentines with little bees on them so I set about making some. First I piped a little yellow and pulled away to make the stinger. Then I put in two tiny heart confetti for the wings. Then I piped black over the middle and the join of the wings. Let them dry completely and they just came right off the parchment. Worked like a charm on my Honey Bee cookies.

Basketballs and Jerseys

Husdson invited me to his basketball game on February 14, then he asked if I would make cookies for him to give to his teammates. Hahaha I love that kid! So I made them each a jersey and ball then packaged them with a topper.

Boden liked that he got a Valentine Robot and basketball cookies! Hudson is in the background playing his game! He made 3 baskets that game. High scorer!

Vacation Colors

In February Ashley and her friend Nikki were going to Mexico for a vacation so I made her some chocolate sugar cookies and decorated them in vacation colors. I named all the nail polish things she might see or feel on vacation. I made them nail polish and lipstick because she would say "The hardest part of vacation is which nail color to choose." And she is always looking for that perfect lip color. 

Anyway it was an excuse to use the nail polish and lipstick cutters and to decorate cookies. They stayed in a fancy tent on the beach. Sounds like and ideal place to me! 

Thomas the Tank Engine Cookies

Roscoe's 3rd birthday party and he wanted Thomas the Train stuff. So this is what I came up with. 

Gossie and Gertie Cookies

I can't believe I never put these up on here! Good grief! I had found a kids book and the pictures were so cute that I just wanted to make them into cookies. So before Easter I made this set then used them at everyone's place for a little decoration. 

After the white had dried overnight I took a grey food pen and drew on the characters using my Camera Lucida app on my iPad. It projects the image onto the cookie in a sense. It takes some getting used to but I love it.

Then I used a #0 tip and put the white on white shapes onto the cookies letting them dry where I wanted a line or division on the image.

Let those dry completely then water colored with gel food colors on the raised image. I LOVE how these turned out! It was almost hard to eat these.

My set up for painting. I love to paint and decorate cookies so this filled both those loves!
